About Xylitol, the key ingredient in XyliMelts: Xylitol is a natural food substance that stimulates saliva flow. A natural sweetener, it is comparable to sucrose in sweetness but contains fewer calories and fights cavities.

Benefits of Xylitol (500mg): Promotes saliva flow which not only keeps mouths moist, but helps maintain healthy teeth and reduces gum disease and bad breath. May reduce risk of tooth decay: Frequent use of candy with sugar or starches to relieve dry mouth promotes tooth decay. Xylitol does not promote and may reduce the risk of tooth decay. Reduces plaque in the mouth which may help reduce tooth decay, gum disease, and bad breath.

Directions : Place a disc at the gum line between your cheek and gums (upper or lower portion of mouth), with the tan adhesive side against your gums. Use your tongue to push the disc to a comfortable spot. Once there, do not touch it with your tongue for 30 seconds, as this movement will disrupt adhesion. Before bedtime: Use two (2) discs, placing one on each side of the mouth as indicated above. Everyday use: For dry mouth, use more as needed throughout the day. To reduce risk of tooth decay, use at least 3 or 4 more discs during the day. For maximum benefit, do not consume fructose (in fruit and added to many foods and sweet drinks – marked on the label as fructose or apple, pear, or grape juice) until one hour later.
